Cashmere washing advice

We advise hand washing your cashmere garment. There is no need to dry clean.

Advice for cashmere knitwear at AOK Clothing:

• Hand wash only; dry cleaning is not required.
• Use cool or cold water; wash dark colours separately.
• Choose a wool-approved liquid detergent (e.g., Softly or Kindness).
• Gently wrap in a towel and press to remove excess water; avoid wringing.
• Lay flat on a clean surface to dry in shade, away from direct sunlight.
• Never use a dryer; heat may cause shrinkage.
• If needed, a cool iron can be used, but drying flat typically eliminates ironing.
• Do not use hot water, do not soak, and do not wring out.
• Do not use soaps, spot cleaners, whiteners, bleach, or fabric softeners. They can damage fibres.
